:LAYOUT: Shopping for Fireworks

The 4th is almost here!! Kailtin and her daddy had a great time shopping last year and here's the layout I made to prove it.

THREE THINGS TO TRY:

1. Divide your layout in half using a solid color on one half and a patterned paper on the other. Use a scallop (or other decorative edge) strip to separate the two halves.

2. Use a sticker to embellish a photo and enhance the theme of the layout.

3. Create a custom banner with hand cut triangles and string them together with a line of gems.

Journaling:
If it would have been up to Kaitlin, we would have left with the entire store! July 2010

Supplies:
Patterned Paper: We R Memory Keepers, Bo Bunny
Stickers: We R Memory Keepers
Letter Stickers: Making Memories, Pink Paislee
Gems: Paper Studio
Ink: Colorbox
Corner Rounder: Marvy
Pen: Zig

Jill, this is a great scrapbook page. I love your "Three things to try" today. This is so helpful for me, because sometimes I get so overwhelmed when I scrap. May I ask what punch or die did you use to make your decorative edge strip. I am looking to buy something to make a nice big scallop. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks, Joan! I am glad that you find them helpful. Actually, the scalloped strip that is dividing my page is actually a sticker included with that particular collection of papers. However, I do have a couple options for creating my own. I have a Fiskars trimmer that has a scalloped blade. This gives a very small scallop.

I also have two Fiskars border punches that I use a lot as well:

Thanks, Luisa!! Thank you so much for the blogger award! It is so sweet of you!!
If the human being is working in the title of firework. Then it will be making well on the same conditions. These protected areas can be much important on the same ways. Most of the people have learned through the availability of the fireworks.
