:LAYOUT: a very special gift!

I do most of the Christmas shopping for our household, so when Justin picks out a gift all on his own (well, sort of...you'll see) for his little girl, it's a special gift indeed.

I loved this series of my daughter opening this a necklace and earring set from her daddy last Christmas and knew I had to include them all, so I created a 4x6 collage to reduce their size.

At the time that I ordered the photos, I forgot to order the picture of the actual necklace! I didn’t want to put off doing the layout so I printed the photo onto white cardstock on my standard printer and it looks just fine...the added texture of the cardstock actually helped to highlight the beautiful set.

Journaling:
Kaitlin received a very special gift from her dad for Christmas this year.

They had actually gone to do some shopping for me and while at JC Penny, Kaitlin saw a necklace and earring set that she fell in love with. Of course, she wanted him to buy it for her on the spot, but he said, “No, we’re shopping for Mommy.”

She was pretty disappointed, but Justin was even sneakier. When Kaitlin was distracted, he brought the jewelry set and quickly stuck it in his pocket.

Due to a Christmas snow storm that lasted several days, we ended up stuck at home on Christmas Eve, but we decided to let Kaitlin open a few presents anyway. A small box wrapped in tin foil (nice wrapping, Dad) was one of her choices.

As you can see from the photos on the left, she was pretty thrilled when she realized what was inside the box!!
