My favorite Christmas childhood memory. Well when I was little probably 1st or 2nd grade, Care Bears were BIG. And my little sister and I wanted one so bad. So Christmas morning we wake up and find out that we didn't get the store bought Card Bear, but a super special bear that Mrs. Clause made for us. Because she loved us so much that she didn't want us to have the same one as everyone else.

Of course now I know that my parents couldn't find it anywhere. So my mom, between taking classes and working full time, hand made my sister and I a Care Bear.
I loved waking up and catching my first glimple of the MOUNTAIN of gifts! There were so many possibilities in that pile! I was very lucky to have so much as a kid.
The hard time falling asleep on Christmas Eve.
We were always at my Grandmother's house for dinner and gift opening on Christmas Eve. When we returned home the Christmas lights were always on and Santa had just been there!
My favorite memeory--hum that is a hard one but I think it was the year I got my necklace watch. Not sure of the year but it was when they were new and expensive. My mom gave up soooo much that year just so I could get that watch. I kept it until we had a house firre back in 1979 and even though it is gone that memory is still with me.

Thanks for a chance to win this awesome gift
my fave christmas memory growing up is actually time I spent with my best friend and her family. I am an only child and her family was huge.....I found it so cool that even tho they ahve very little money, they had the biggest christmas celebration i have ever seen. ALL of the family came in, everyone brought a dish for a buffet style meal and drew names for gifts , which were almost always handmade. I try to duplicate that same feeling now for my kids and thier friends and make my house as welcoming and inviting as possible and I really wnat thier friends to feel teh same way I did :)
My favorite memory was when my sister and I were about eight years old. We were a VERY poor family growing up and that year was especially bad. We didn't have a tree and knew that there would be no presents. It was okay we were used to that, but usually we got a little somethin. So it was Christmas Eve (just happened to be my birthday as well) and my sis and I were getting ready for bed. There was a knock at the door and by the time we got there our parents were watching a car drive away. There were two boxes, one had christmas dinner in it and the other had a few packages. Those jammies and games we got were the best gift ever! We never did find out who it was but it was definitely a christmas angel to us. I've never forgotten that and always do something for somebody down and out no matter how small in memory of that Christmas Eve.
My favorite memory is spending time with our extended family. Christmas Eve was spent with my dad's Italian family--good food, good times with cousins, lots of presents and lots of fun.
I remember a Christmas Eve when my husband and I went to the church in town. My father was up for a Christmas visit, and joined us, as my mother had passed away earlier that year. The entire service was singing Christmas carols, and words of joy. We all enjoyed singing together. It was the last Christmas my father had, so the memory is especially poignant.
My favorite thing as a child was making Christmas cookies with my mom. She would let me put lots of sprinkles and icing on them. Now I have kids of my own and every Christmas eve we make sure to make cookies with them. Lots of pictures to scrap!!!!

My favorite childhood memory is when we would go to my grandparents on Christmas day. My mom was one of 14 children so needless to say there was a lot of grandchildren and what fun we would have, sometimes that is the only time some of us woud see each other for the whole year. http://pammejo-scrapbookflair.blogspot.com/
My favorite Christmas memory was the one where we actually had snow on Christmas day. It happened only once and it was magical!
One Christmas in Massachusetts we lost power for much of the day. Thankfully each of us kids got snow pants as gifts under the tree. We put them on as we opened them and kept them on to stay warm!
My favourite childhood memories were the early mornings. My two brothers used to wake me up freakishly early, but we weren't allowed to get our parents up till 6am. We had stocking on our bedroom doors though, usually satsumas, chocolate coins and a little activity or game or something. So we always used to camp out in one bedroom watching early morning kids tv eagerly awaiting 6am :-)
WoW, what a fab give-away, Jill Marie!

My favorite Christmas memory is that as children, my parents wouldn't decorate the house or put up a tree until Christmas Eve ... after us kids were in bed. When we woke on Christmas morning, it was like magic! A decorated tree, presents, shine, and ribbon!! As an adult, I couldn't believe my parents had the stamina to do that year and year.

Thanks for the chance to win!
My favorite childhood memory: When I was 6, my parents gave me a Strawberry Shortcake bike with training wheels. I was so excited, I wanted to leave it on the front porch so everyone could see that I was the luckiest girl that Christmas!
My favorite Christmas memory is when I was 7 or 8 and I really wanted all of the Strawvberry Shortcake dolls and I got them - I was so surprised because we didn't have a lot of money but Santa sure pulled through.
My favorite memory is when my aunt got us matching outfits for Christmas. It was the seventies and I was four years old. She got us red knee boots and white fur coats. We looked so cute together wearing our matching outfits.

I have many good memories of Christmas to choose from, but if we consider my teenage years as part of my childhood (and I'm going to), I'll say that when I was a freshman in high school, my sisters and I each got several small presents from my parents, instead of one big one each. It was this year that I learned to appreciate how much work my mom went through in choosing gifts for my two sisters and me. We got "matching" gifts - necklaces and purses- but each was slightly different. We spent Xmas morning at home, enjoying our gifts and our family. For a teenager to enjoy family time that much, I know it was something special.

My favorite Christmas memories were at my grandmother's house. We live in Alabama but would go to KY every Christmas. We would stay at my grandmother's house and everybody would come over Christmas Day for lunch and gifts!
We had an artificial tree which I didn't mind because I didn't know any better! I enjoyed taking out the ornaments and seeing the ones I had made myself. I also just loved the cold weather and bundling up.
I remember waking up really early one chrissy morning, and my sister did as well, it was still dark so we played cards and guessed and guessed and wondered what could be under the tree, until the morning had just the right hint of light outside and we knew we could get up. with my sister now very far away its not only one of my fav christmas moments its one of my fav sister moments.
My favorite memory is going to the christmas tree farm with my grandparents. We had a hayride, found the pefect tree, and drank hot apple cider!
My favorite memory was getting out our (artificial) tree every year and decorating. It's still one of my favorite parts of Christmas.
My favorite part was going to be out our Christmas tree each year. We would then set it up and decorate it while enjoying egg nog and Christmas cookies.
