I am trying to feel thankful for our average October weather today (mid-60's and sunny) - it was beautiful!
It wasn't originally planned, but we decided to go out and take some pictures while the weather was nice as soon as we got home from work/school today.
I got a few shots that are quite different than my 'norm', but REALLY like how some of them turned out - especially after a little creative editing.
I will be sharing some soon, so stay tuned.
However, I'm feeling just a bit jipped so far this season.
Fall is my FAVORITE season...and for the past couple of weeks, it's been unseasonable COLD (40's-50's) and rainy. It seems that we had a one-day teaser because the upcoming forcast looks pretty bleak.
There's actually a chance of SNOW this weekend! UGH!
I don't know if we'll even get to go to the pumpkin patch this year if it keeps this up...I just can't get excited about going if it's going to be wet and cold, ya know?
Here's looking back at the beautiful fall weekend that we visited the apple orchard/pumpkin patch last year...

This year Kaitlin, Lynn, Grandma Sue & I decided to visit a new pumpkin patch so we went to one in Harrisburg, SD (just south of South Falls) called the Country Apple Orchard.
It was a warm, but windy day in early October and we were certainly not the only ones that had the same idea. The place was packed! Kaitlin loved the scare crows and even got an apple from a real-live scarecrow inside the Country Store.
We also went on a hay ride to pick our pumpkins and saw some giant pumpkins. Kaitlin played on some inflatables and got to go for a pony ride. It was some great fall fun!
