:CHRISTMAS BOOK COUNTDOWN: Christmas Tree

Day 11:
Christmas Tree! by Florence Minor

Imaginative Christmas trees of unusual sizes and materials are the focus of this holiday story for younger children with retro art that points adult readers back to the 1950s.

The poetic, rhyming text asks the reader in just a few words per page to imagine different kinds of trees.

The conclusion points out that the best Christmas tree, of course, is the decorated tree in your own home.

(I have to be honest...this is my least favorite of all the books so far. It's just a little too simplistic and some of the suggested trees are a little strange.)
