Remebering Dryer Days at the Renaissance Fair

It's been doing this alternating raining/misting thing for four days...four days straight. I'm starting to wonder if I live in South Dakota...or in the US northwest!! It's giving me the doldrums, I tell you!

To try to brighten my mood, I'm working on some of the photos I took at the Minnesota Renaissance Fair last month...when it was sunny...and warm...and DRY!

Here's my little Renaissance princess.

One of my favorite parts of the day was watching the jousting.

Our knight was the green knight.

And he fought valiantly.

But he did not win...he was a loser...yup, that's him face down in the dirt.

This is Puke & Snot. You heard right...that's really their names (at least during the Renaissance Fair, that is). Evidently, they are the #1 act to see when at the fair. They were quite funny...a little off-color (come on...what did you expect from two guys named Puke & Snot?), but definitely funny.

  1. your pics are great! I LOVE Renaissance Festivals but unfortunately they don't have them here in Utah! when I lived in Denver we'd go all the time and it was so fun! BTW, thanks for visiting my site and leaving a comment. We're all doing the best we can with the bodies the Lord gave us. All we can do is be grateful we have one I suppose. Good luck with the mutual challenge :)

  2. WOW! this looks like a fabulous renaissance fair. when my husband & i first started dating we went to one & had a blast, but it wasn't as extensive as this (no jousting). loved being called "my lady & my lord". hee hee. we lived back east then & we're in california now & they aren't as common. great pictures. mj

  4. I hate to tell u this but Snot recently died, not sure how, heart failure or something. But i just got back from the fair (8/17/08) and well the show had to go on. Puke was there with a Snot replacement, it wasnt the same but they tried. It was still funny but... well u know. Well i thought u should know
